Top 5 Must Have Wedding Picture Poses

Wedding album is the most precious keepsake for a couple. Every couple wants their wedding album to be filled with the most beautiful, romantic and innovative photographs. However, there are certain poses that are loved universally by all couples and their photographers. Wedding photographs have to be about capturing a couple's love for each other. So, it is a photographer's job to make sure that he or she brings in small variations into these classic poses. These different styles will bring out the chemistry and warmth that a couple shares. Here are five wedding poses that should always be a part of every wedding album.

The classic sitting pose

The classic sitting pose is a must have in any wedding album. The bride and groom have to sit close to each other. The bride can wrap her arm around the groom’s biceps. Another variation can be the one where bride rests her head on the groom’s shoulder. The couple can also tilt their heads slightly towards each other. A simple smile on their lips will complete this picture-perfect pose.

The classic standing pose

This is another classic pose for a wedding picture. But, other than standing casually, with stiff body and expressions, there can be some interesting variations in this one as well. The photographer can ask the couple to stand together while holding hands. Another one is to have a groom look at the bride while she looks into the camera. This particular variation will add an interesting dash of romance and passion to the wedding album.

The hug pose

The hug pose is one of the most romantic and sensuous wedding poses that a couple can have in their wedding album. For this pose, the bride and groom stand facing each other. The groom wraps his arms around the bride's waist, as they either look into each other's eyes or in the camera. The bride can rest her head on the groom’s chest and put her hand on his shoulder. This pose will add a lot of charm and oomph to the album.

Forehead to forehead

The foreheads of the bride and groom should touch, in either standing or sitting pose. If they are standing, the bride can slightly tilt her head up and the groom can bend down so that the foreheads meet. A beautiful variation can be a 'kiss on the forehead' pose, where groom bends to kiss his bride’s forehead. A huge smile is very important in this pose. Use of interesting lighting and backdrop can add some beautiful elements to this pose.

Lift her in arms

This pose will add beautiful (and sometimes candid) moments to a couple's album. It will also be a very romantic moment shared by the couple. In this pose, the groom lifts the bride in his arms. They can either look into each other’s eyes or share an infectious smile, as they pose for the camera.

If possible, a couple should rehearse a few poses before their wedding day, to get comfortable with each other and the camera. Since they might not have a lot of time to experiment on their special day, these rehearsals can be extremely helpful.

These poses will add a lot of beautiful and romantic moments to a couple's wedding album, along with a dash of innovation. So, time to say 'cheese'!
